Shattered

Does anyone care
When no ones there
Pick yourself up off the ground
Only to find yourself falling once again
A shattered vase
With no one to put the pieces back together
Lying here shattered
Eyes drip tears
That fall from your soul
A blackness comes into view
Coming closer with each second
The light begins to fade
And darkness engulfs you
The numbness feels your body
You wish to forget all your problems
But they still linger
Like a knife stabbed through your heart
Blood flows from the wounds
Your life begins to fade
The light would fade
If there were any
As death approaches so does a cold smile
Death is welcoming
For it brings promise of an end to all the pain
But alas it will not come
Simply lingers an inch from your grasp
Another promise unfulfilled
That only brings up your hopes
Just to shoot them down
So you lie there
Craving death
An being cursed with life
